Pharmacological Actions

• Diuretic (does not leach potassium from the body)
• Demulcent (mild)
• Bitter

Indications

• Oedema due to heart problems
• Urinary problems to increase diuresis – e.g. Urinary Stones
• Gout
• Sluggish Liver and Gall Bladder

Contraindications

• Avoid in Pregnancy and Lactation
• Avoid in known Dandelion allergy to
• Stop taking at least 2 weeks before a General Anaesthetic
• Consult your Doctor before taking Dandelion Leaf if you have Gallstones

Dosage

• Adult – 30 drops (1.5ml) 3 times daily
